An Afternoon in Galway

Galway is always a delight. After a sad goodbye from Belgium, we flew from Brussels to Dublin, and hopped a airport shuttle direct to Galway! I love it when things are so easy. We were only in Galway for an afternoon, but having been there before we knew what we wanted to do. We strolled around the cute shopping area, walked by the ocean and visited the gorgeous stone cathedral. We were lucky enough to even catch dolphins frolicking off the pier! So cool! We tucked into a platter of tasty fish and chips at McDonaghs, and thanks to the communal sitting arrangement, met a few interesting characters. We ended our day in a quintessentially Irish way, bobbing our heads to some great live music at the corner pub while sipping a good ol' frothy pint of Guinness. Ahhh Ireland. Its good to be back!

Where we stayed: Kinlay House Hostel. We had a private room with shared bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful, free breakfast and excellent location.  We would Recommend it.
